What We Believe

  • We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God; authoritative, trustworthy, and relevant to our lives today.
  • We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons:  God, the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
  • We believe in the Deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, affirming that He was crucified for our sins; that He was resurrected from death to new life; and that through Him we have the promise of new life.
  • We believe in the power of prayer for daily living, affirming that if prayer stopped in our church so would everything else.
  • We believe in the celebration of Communion; a time for remembering each week that gives us assurance and meaning to our everyday lives.
  • We believe in believer’s baptism, affirming that baptism is for believers by immersion as a symbol of our dying to our old life and our rising to new life in Christ.
  • We believe in the priesthood of all believers; the call of all believers to be ministers of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, using the gifts of God’s Spirit and the opportunities provided by our daily lives.  We affirm that while God gives us freedom to interpret the Scriptures, we are responsible and accountable to God for our lives and faith.
